Welcome to Mrs. Sulkin's Homepage
I grew up in Virginia and attended the College of William and Mary where I received my BS degree in Biology. I met my husband while he was earning his PhD in Marine Biology, and I was working on an undergraduate research grant.
In 1985 my husband, twin daughters, son and I moved from the eastern shore of Maryland to Bellingham when he accepted the directorship of Shannon Point Marine Center, Western Washington University’s marine lab in Anacortes. The next year my daughters entered Whatcom Middle School followed four years later by my son. I enrolled at WWU in 1992 where I earned a master’s degree in education. In 1994 I was hired to teach science at Whatcom and I’ve been here ever since.
I consider myself incredibly lucky to be teaching a subject I absolutely love to a terrific group of bright and inquisitive students who attend Whatcom each year. I’m especially excited to be teaming for the third year with an exceptional group of energetic and talented teachers.
I look forward to working with you and your child in a true partnership this year. I encourage you to contact me throughout the school year whenever you have questions or concerns.
