There will be no more lunch charges for the rest of the year. If you don’t have money in your account or in hand you will NOT be able to purchase a school lunch. If you already owe money please be sure to pay up as yearbooks will NOT be issued to anyone with outstanding fines….fines include, lunches, library books, text books and athletic jerseys etc.
Please excuse all 8th grade band members who will be marching in the Ski to Sea parade - today at 9:30 for a combined rehearsal with the 7th grade band.
If you lost a case of Nintendo games -a while back….please see Mrs. Pears in the main office.
If you are planning on running for next year’s ASB officer position you must have your packet completed by Tuesday. You will meet in room 111 at 1:04 with your completed packets on May 13.
Attention California Science Trip participants: you should have received a "Final Important Stuff" note with a phone tree attached. If you haven't, please be sure to see Mr. Owens or Miss Sigel today. Make sure to take the phone tree home and leave it there!
Late Night Open Gym tonight at Whatcom from 7:15-10pm......... It's FREE! Come play some serious dodgeball or start a three on three basketball tournament. Call 778-7000 if you have any questions.
There is a 3 on 3 basketball tournament here on May 31st. Small cards with the registry information can be found in your locker rooms.
8th Graders: If you plan to turn out for any high school sport next year – you have 4 more days to sign up (by May 14) in the counseling office. We need to send your physicals to the high school coaches and can only do so if you sign up. After May 14 there will be no access to the physicals until summer and you may not be able to participate in summer turnouts.ASB ELECTION SCHEDULE:
May 13 All candidates meet. Bring completed packets to Mr. Chung’s classroom, room 111, 5 th period
May 13-19 Candidates’speeches and pictures in display cases.
May 19 Primary voting in 6 th & 7 th grade classes – 2 candidates from each office will be chosen. Voting from 10:08-10:40.
May 20 Primary election winners are announced. Meet 5 th period, Room 111, to review final campaign expectations.
May 21 Poster campaign – maximum 3 posters each 3’ x 5’
May 29-30 Candidates forum during lunches
May 30 Speeches practiced during 5th period - report to the auditorium after checking in with your teacher.
June 2 Final election assembly, speeches given 1 st period to all 7th grade classes & 2nd period to all 6 th grade classes
June 2 Final elections – Voting to immediately follows speeches
June 3 Election results announced. Remove move your posters from the hallways.
